A really really good Bible Study.

Last week Mo and I went to our last meeting of our ten week journey through Beth Moore's Bible Study "The Patriarchs". Throughout the weeks I could NOT get enough of how she laid out the lives of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and during the Thursday videos I was mesmerized by her passion to have us understand to the best of our ability the teachings of God in their lives and how it relates to ours. I am truly sad that it is over :( But, I am determined to pick up another series of hers so that she can once again guide me through the Bible in a way that is made real to me.

Last night I was reminded of this question she asked in our ninth week of study:

Beth asked: Do you feel as if you've reaped to the degree you've sown? Be honest. This is a question involving perceptions, not right or wrong answers.

I answered: In Jesus I know that I am reaping way more than I've sown or am going to sow. At this time I feel extremely blessed, and I want to look back on this time and remember God's love and faithfulness.

Beth asked: What reassurance does Psalm 103:10 provide?

"he does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities"

I answered: Grace-thank goodness we don't get what we deserve!

I have been blow away by the personal growth this Bible Study has guided me to. I urge every woman to pick up a study by Beth Moore and just wait to be lifted up and have your eyes lifted towards heaven. So look out for any Beth Moore study being advertised and join immediately. Then wait to have your eyes opened by God and a new understanding of the Bible.

I'm doing one right now called "Believing God" It's a really good study (although I'm not doing the video part...so I feel as though I'm missing out a bit). I'm really enjoying it though.
Mom is planning on doing a Beth Moore study for her Tuesday morning bible studies starting in Sept. It should be really good. So if there's anyone from our church reading this that would like to do a Beth Moore study and have Tuesday mornings free, you should join us!

Do you think she is getting the video sessions and everything? Because I would like to borrow the dvds and do the bible study on my own or with a small group at my house (and Kim's) some evening (when I'm available) Sweet!

Kelly,
Yes I think that she'll be getting the dvd's and everything. Let me know if you decide to do one at your house in an evening because I'd love to come to it. I'd like to come to one with people close to my own age. I don't really hang out with people my age, and would certainly like to do so.

Oh just you wait Abbey. When I'm back in town we will hang out as much as possible. The fun never stops when you, me and Jen are together hahaha (I love having sisters)!

A study of Leah and Rachel was really helpful in my life. And I can only imagine how looking at Abraham, Isaac and Jacob would be helpful in understanding God's plan for humanity.

Keep pluggin' along at school. You're almost done, girl!!!

What a coincidence... you love having sisters and we love being your sisters! You are awesome my Kelly and we can't wait to have you back home for good... we hope. The only legitimate reason for leaving us again is some perfect foreign boy. And he had better have a good reason for not moving to Okotoks and bringing his entire immediate family with him as the other budd girl's men have done!

I'm so glad that they all did though. Man does it ever make it easier at Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving, etc.
