Grade two is Lovely!

So I just found out today that my final practicum...'for all the meat and potatoes' (which is an extremely intelligent saying-sorry Dan Sud. for saying previously that it was 'dumb' :( ...is going to be in a grade 2 classroom. I am so relieved and excited, we have absolutely NO say where we are placed (hence the reason I'm way out in the boonies), and I have been praying for a younger grade. I thank God for giving me the desire of my heart. So, for the next 9 weeks I will be teaching in a grade 2 classroom. I'm sure I'll have some interesting posts come February 13th...which will be my first day at the school! So please keep me in your prayers as I enter this last phase of my post-secondary education.

I'm so excited for you Kelly. You're going to be a great teacher. It's so obvious that your heart lies in teaching these little ones. I'm going to need many ideas from you in the future, so take notes. LOL

I take offense to "meat and potatoes" being a silly saying :-) That's what I call the links on my blog (goes with my spud theme).
Glad God answered your prayer in the way you had hoped.

Oops sorry Dan Sud. I didn't mean to offend you ;(
While I was writing my post, the "meat and potatoes" saying just popped into my head and I couldn't explain why...but now I realize that it must have been because I am a faithful reader of your blog... :) From now on I will use that saying with pride and be reminded of the influencial man behind it...hahaha. Again, I truly am sorry.
