Married 30 years and still holding hands!

When we were young, my sisters and I used to flee from the room if my parents came to close to one another ;)

Now, as an adult and having seen and experienced divorce in relatives and close friends, I am filled with joy when my dad takes my mom's hand and holds it in his own. I feel truly blessed, by God, to have grow up in a loving home...not just loving towards me and my sisters, but being shown a living example of what true love looks like. Congradulations mom and dad on your 30th Anniversary. I wish you 30 more. Love your daughter.

Three kinds of pie!!!

What is Thanksgiving without three kinds of pie? A sad Thanksgiving :) Just kidding. I know it's not about the food, the food is just a tasty tradition.

Some things I am thankful for: my persevering mom (who put on a bountiful feast for her kids and some extras), my colleagues at TCS (who have been extremely supportive over my first month of teaching), my sisters (who love me and are my closest friends), my dad (who is also my Bible teacher:), and most important, for my God who gives me a purpose and guides me through the life He has provided me with. Let's thank God!

Happy Birthday Brother!!!

Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear Jonathan, happy birthday to you. Now blow out a candle or two or twenty-four :) and eat a piece of cake. I hope it's chocolate. If it's chocolate can you save me a piece...I'll be around on Sunday...ya okay...let's be realistic here, there won't be any left by Sunday, will there? Well I hope you have a great year being that much older. Love your sister (in-law).

PS-Abbey will you make sure Jon has a look at this post dedicated to him, thanks!
