A really really good Bible Study.

Last week Mo and I went to our last meeting of our ten week journey through Beth Moore's Bible Study "The Patriarchs". Throughout the weeks I could NOT get enough of how she laid out the lives of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and during the Thursday videos I was mesmerized by her passion to have us understand to the best of our ability the teachings of God in their lives and how it relates to ours. I am truly sad that it is over :( But, I am determined to pick up another series of hers so that she can once again guide me through the Bible in a way that is made real to me.

Last night I was reminded of this question she asked in our ninth week of study:

Beth asked: Do you feel as if you've reaped to the degree you've sown? Be honest. This is a question involving perceptions, not right or wrong answers.

I answered: In Jesus I know that I am reaping way more than I've sown or am going to sow. At this time I feel extremely blessed, and I want to look back on this time and remember God's love and faithfulness.

Beth asked: What reassurance does Psalm 103:10 provide?

"he does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities"

I answered: Grace-thank goodness we don't get what we deserve!

I have been blow away by the personal growth this Bible Study has guided me to. I urge every woman to pick up a study by Beth Moore and just wait to be lifted up and have your eyes lifted towards heaven. So look out for any Beth Moore study being advertised and join immediately. Then wait to have your eyes opened by God and a new understanding of the Bible.

Christ has risen...He has risen indeed.

It's great to be home and celebrate such an inportant event in my Christian faith with those that I love.

Try to solve the little Easter puzzle below:

This fulfilled Jesus own prophecy.
Read Luke 9:22 (NIV) and fill in the blanks below to see what he said.

"The Son of man must suffer many things and be _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
by the elders, chief priests and teachers of the law, and he must
be _ _ _ _ _ _ and on the _ _ _ _ _ day be
_ _ _ _ _ _ to _ _ _ _ ."

Focus on The One who deserves all our praise, glory and thanks this Easter season. And like Brielle says "Lets dance". (It is approved by God Himself: refer to Kara's blog-just click on her link).

SABC - Women's Retreat!

Well it's about time I wrote in this blog...I have been busy...but haven't we all? I don't really have a legitimate excuse.

Last weekend I went on the annual women's retreat for the E.Free Churches in Alberta, with my mom and sisters. Besides the sleepless nights it was a grand time :) However, retreats are for fun not sleep.

Next year Okotoks E.Free Church (my home town) is planning it...we are thinking of some sort of "Survivor" theme...exotic decor (mid-east or tropical...tents and lots of color). We hope to include a few fun interactive games and a special theme related banquet. The highlight of the weekend is always the great speakers who come to guide us spiritually and we have someone in mind but have yet to ask her :)

So here are a few pictures from this year’s retreat. Enjoy...

Happy Birthday Kara!!!

I would like to wish my wonderful friend Kara a happy 22nd birthday...welcome to the 22 year olds' club. We meet every Tuesday at 8pm...ha! Wouldn't that be funny if there was such a club? Well, Kara, I just wanted to let you know that you are loved.

PS-And yes I realize that your birthday was yesterday, April the 4th...I said you were a wonderful friend...not that "I" was a wonderful friend. But, I do my best.
Love ya :)
