Swamped ... and loving it!

I don't have time to write a long descriptive blog about my week so far...but if you want in on how my week is going just picture 16 little grade twos calling out "Miss Budd, Miss Budd...I'm done...can I go to the washroom...what are we doing next?...Do we have gym today?...I don't know where my pencil is...I forgot my library books...can we play that math game again?...etc." And then I get to go home mark assigned pages and quizzes and prepare for the next day. My days are full and I'm having a great time. God is a good God. I thank Him for the days He has made for me.

Weekends are for sleeping in!

I often think about the passage Pastor Tim preached on a few weeks ago, "In vain you rise early and stay up late, toiling for food to eat - for he grants sleep to those he loves"-Psalm 127:2. Yikes! This week has been a busy one... I have worked into the wee hours of the night...rising before the sun, just to start the cycle all over again. Does God love me? Ha! I know He does. I continue to give all that I do over to God, whom I serve and am reassured of the plan He has for me and my future. This really is all for Him! When you think of the work you do here on earth as serving God and His children, which is what we really are doing, it's worth it and it should bring us joy!!!

PS-The words under the cat picture: "When you lie down, you will not be afraid; Yes, you will lie down and your sleep will be sweet" - Proverbs 3:24.

Sweet dreams everyone!

Happy Birthday Mom!

My mom is 52 today. Wow, I'm going to be in BIG trouble for telling the world that one...hahaha. But why hide your age when you look that good? My mom is a coffee drinking, silly singing, clothes shopping, God worshipping woman...whom I love so very much. And if she knew how to get on this blog, let alone the Internet, she would be able to read her Happy Happy Joy Joy Birthday to you! From her youngest.
Love you my mother.

God answered 'Yes' to my prayer!

God is so good, he's so good to me. I am leaping for joy over the news I have received earlier today...God has given me the opportunity to work at a Christian School starting this September!!! I can hardly believe it. I feel so unbelievably blessed. It is for a grade one teaching position, a dream job...and and and I don't know what else to say. I am overwhelmed by it all. I have a job...I have a job...I have to keep telling myself...My cup runneth over.

I'm in the middle of my final practicum, so life is pretty busy. Time will fly by and I'll see you all in the South soon enough. I can't wait to meet with you all and celebrate God's faithfulness. Thank you ALL for praying for my interview. There IS power in prayer :)

I'm back!!!

I'm back and exhausted...but enjoying every minute of it. Boy do I love to teach. My school is 30 minutes away and so I get up at 5:30am just to make it on time and prepared for the kids to enter the class at 7:55am...I know it's early! In my opinion too early, isn't it true that the mind functions better after 10:00am??? I would almost stake my life on it...ha, okay maybe not...the only thing I'd stake my life on is the Truth of Jesus Christ :) I usually arrive at home around 5:30-6:00pm, to a supper made by my wonderful Mo (ha, that's Mom without the 'm'). Boy am I spoiled and well taken care of, God is good.

So I guess I owe an appology to all my die hard blog fans out there, not to name names or anything ABBEY and SHARON!!! But I miss you all so desparately, it's almost easier to not write and miss you so much while typing ;( yes, that's a tear.

I don't know what I can tell you all that would interest you. I have to get up in a few short hours and I still have some lesson planning to do. My 'new found friend' and I are working on two grade two units, one in science (Boats and Buoyancy) and one in math (adding two digits by two digits with regrouping)-oh the teacher lingo, yikes!

At this time in my life I am consumed by teaching, planning and marking. A cycle that never seems to have an end in sight. I think you can tell that you've made the right career choice, if at the end of the day you are giddy with the fun you have had and when you are looking forward to the next day of WORK!

Sorry to end so abruptly but I have to sign off now. I hope you are all satisfied to some level with what you have read today. I'll try and keep my blog updated as much as possible.

By the way, a little side note...if anyone (girls only) are looking for an indepth, life-altering bible study---please look into anything by Beth Moore...just google her. Wow...that's all I have to say about how she helps us dive into the bible is WOW!

Love you my friends and family.

PS-not time to prove read...so you get what you get!
