I miss Capernwray life

I wish I could go back in time. But not as an eighteen year old girl, but now, as I am now. I remember all the good times and God adventures that I had over there in England and I miss it. It was a Christian bubble, but a good bubble to be in. My dream however would not be complete unless all the same people were there with me. And that, I'm afraid, is impossible :(

Grade One B

Here are some pictures of my little classroom. I just love how it has all come together. I want to thank both my sisters (Abbey and Jen) for spending long hours cutting, hanging and rearranging posters, banners and bulletin boards. I also really appreciate the support from my mom and dad. Thank you dad for bringing your tools in and hanging charts, as well as putting together shelves and things. I love you my family, and I love being so close to HOME! God is good, God is good all the time. Thank you FATHER for this opportunity to do what I love, and may I always be thankful, in good times and in bad.

First Week of School!

I can hardly believe that my first week of teaching grade one is over. It consisted of introducing rules, routines and getting to know eachother AND squeezing in a few meaningful lessons. Actually, its been great. They are good listeners and respond to what I'm teaching, so that's encouraging.
Teaching in a christian school is a huge blessing from God. Throughout the day we reflect on what God wants us to do and starting with devotions sets the tone for the rest of the day.
My cup runneth over. Thank you FATHER.

When I got home Friday after school I literally passed out on the couch from exhaustion. My mind has been in overdrive for weeks now, preparing lessons and the nerves of it all, so it feels great to have the initial jetters over with. I absolutely love getting to know my students and their parents.

Kim, Cheryl and I celebrated the end of first week of school with a pizza and a good movie called, "They were watching God" (I recommend it, it was good).

Now it's Saturday and I'm looking forward to having time to work at a slightly calmer pace and tomorrow, worshiping and resting with my family and friends.

A Lovely Sunday Afternoon...

The weather was just too good to pass up, so the Budds, Kehlers and Schroeders headed for Little Bow Lake Sunday after church. The sun was shining, there wasn't a cloud in the sky and the water was calling our names. There wasn't enough room in the boat for the entire gang and so Abbey and I jumped at the chance to go in the tube. My dad sent us flying...we enjoyed and I'm sure he did as well :)

I also had the chance to waterski...boy that's fun. As I climbed into the boat I said to my dad "Ooo that can get addicting". Well I don't have any pictures of that day in my computer at the moment so I leave you with a little waterskiing icon...I'll post more later. Goodnight World.
